On September 13, 1971 at Madison Square Garden in New York World Lightweight Champion Ken Buchanan won a 15 round unanimous decision over former champion Ismael Laguna. Also on the bill, future world champion Roberto Duran, fighting in the United States for the first time, took on Benny "Bang Bang" Huertas in an important lightweight bout. Duran stopped Huertas in the very first round. This is an original press pack for the fight, which features a Madison Square Garden poster design on the front and back covers. Inside is packed with training camp and ticket information, quotes, tale of the tape, biographies of the main protagonists and their fight records. In good condition. One staple missing, the first page loose from the others, slight bleed from the staples. The covers with moderate creasing along the spine and corners. Two staples holes to the back cover.
