A scarce on-site program from the Polo Grounds, New York where defending Heavyweight Champion Jack Dempsey met the first Latin American challenger in history in front of 80,000 spectators. In a classic encounter, the two fighters traded knockdowns, including the historic moment Firpo knocked Dempsey through the ropes in round two (the image famously captured by artist George Bellows). Dempsey rallied, stopping Firpo before the conclusion of the second round.
The program is in fair to good condition. All 16 pages are present and still bound. The spine - although worn - is sill intact, with the exception of 3cm at the top and approximately 1cm at its foot. There are three vertical creases lines. Slightly grubby covers and some surface paper loss to the rear cover.
