A stunning Salvador Sanchez framed autograph display. The pieces includes two photos of Sanchez, a rare original autograph and a reproduction of his WBC Championship belt, framed professionally in a shadow box with back lights that can be plugged in. Due to his premature death at the age of 23, genuine Sanchez autographs are very hard to come by. Approximately 46 x 34 x 5".
Sanchez was the WBC and lineal featherweight champion from 1980 to 1982. His life and career were tragically cut short on August 12, 1982 when he was involved in a fatal car accident. Many of his contemporaries & boxing pundits believe that had it not been for his death, Sanchez could have gone on to become the greatest featherweight boxer of all time. The Ring Magazine named him as Fighter of the Year in 1981, and he was was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame ten years later.
