A charcoal portrait of Jack Dempsey (1947) by Albert "Bert" Conaghan. Signed and inscribed to the artist by Dempsey in black fountain pen, "Thanks Bert and good luck - Jack Dempsey". Additional signed & dated 1947 by the artist to the lower right. 16 5/8 x 11 5/8 inches. VG-EX condition; a few small edge tears and a couple of creases, which are confined to the border areas. An exceptional artwork of The Manassa Mauler.
