1894 James J Corbett X-Zalia Medicine advertising card
An original "X-Zalia" Medicine Co. advertising piece issued in 1894. The X-Zalia company were based in Boston, Massachusetts and produced a "wonderful remedy" that was to be used, as stated on the reverse, for the cure of "eczema, piles, inflammatory rheumatism, burns, scalds, guts, bruises, poison from plants or bites of insects, and all surface inflammation." Offered here is the James J Corbett example from the set of four. The card is similar in size and appearance to a Cabinet Card. Measures approximately 4 x 6.5". In VG condition. Some soiling, light creasing and a couple of tiny tears to the left edge.
