1963 Cassius Clay v Henry Cooper full on-site press ticket (with envelope & bonus letter)
An exceptionally scarce unused press ticket from Cassius Clay's first fight with Henry Cooper. June 18, 1963 at Wembley Stadium, London. Cooper knocked Clay down in the 4th round, but the Louisville Lip regrouped and forced the stoppage in the fifth (aided by cuts to the prone Cooper). The ticket is illustrated with images of the two fighters and the promoter, Jack Solomons. Thin card stock ticket in VG condition. Moderate creasing, most notably to the lower right corner. The recipients name has been written on the back of the ticket. The stub is still securely attached to the main body of the ticket. One of the hardest Ali tickets to find in it's full form. Also included is the original mailing envelope and a letter regarding the Clay-Cooper weigh in, and it's respective illustrated envelope.
