A scarce 11 x 14 inch poster titled "Our Heroes, Ambassadors of Good Will". The poster depicts portraits of the great Joe Louis and Jesse Owens flanked by American flags. There's a small oval in the middle where an individual appears to have had their face painted over. Nonetheless a very attractive design and almost certainly vintage to the late 1930's when these two fine athletes were at the height of the sporting achievements. The poster is printed on thin cardboard stock and presents in VG-EX condition. Corner crease to the lower left and a small tear in the same region which has been reinforced with tape. Age toning to the reverse. A name and phone number have been written along the bottom of the poster. A fabulous display piece showcasing two of the most important African American sportsmen of the twentieth century.
