A super-rare full on-site ticket from the 1971 Heavyweight Championship fight between Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier. The undefeated champions met on March 8, 1971 at Madison Square Garden in New York. In arguably his greatest performance Frazier prevailed, knocking Ali down in the final round en route to a unanimous fifteen round victory.
The fight was a sellout and virtually everyone who had a ticket attended. Subsequently very few full tickets from the event have surfaced. We are proud to present one of those examples here, fresh to the hobby. Purchased by a British fight fan who had to cancel their travel plans at the last moment, the ticket had been kept by the family until they recently decided to part with it. The ticket names the fighters and includes a section, row and seat number. It has been graded authentic in VG-EX condition by PSA. The only thing preventing it from being mint is a light paper clip indentation to the right edge. To all essential purposes it appears mint. An exceptionally rare opportunity to own a full ticket from the Fight of the Century.
