An vintage press photo from Sonny Liston v Cassius Clay 1964. The vast majority thought the brash young Clay was in danger of being hurt, but he frustrated the champion with his outstanding footwork and boxing skills. Clay won the title with a 7th round TKO when Liston retired on his stool. The 5 x 7" image shows Liston landing a right hand, one of the few occasions in the fight. Great image with excellent clarity and contrast. The condition is excellent. Date stamp and press markings to the back.
