Unquestionably one of the most coveted post-war boxing programs in the hobby, the on-site Rumble in the Jungle publication is also one of the scarcest. The story of the bout - with an ageing Ali employing the rope-a-dope strategy to wisthstand the onslaught of the undefeated Foreman before coming back to knock him out - is the stuff of legends.
Offered here is an official, sixteen-page French language on-site program from Zaire. It previously belonged to a Gallic journalist who travelled to Africa to cover the fight. The program has several creases across the top right corner and mild foxing to the covers. Someone has cut the images of Ali & Foreman out from the central scorecard page. Rusting to the staples. The interior pages are clean and the binding is still solid. No writing or scoring on the program.
