This is an extremely rare on-site programme from the Nihon Budokan, Tokyo where Muhammad Ali met Mac Foster on April 1, 1972. Fifteen thousand fans watched Ali comprehensively out box Foster over fifteen rounds, in the first fight held in Asia between two top-ten ranked heavyweights. This official, Japanese language programme is one of the hardest of Ali's career to locate. Stunning artwork on the front cover only strengthens the desirability. It's in a huge, oversized format measuring 12" x 16" - essentially the size of a poster! All the more remarkable is its excellent-near mint condition. The program is unfolded and clean throughout. There are three small creases across the top corner of the front cover, and one small crease to the back cover. All are only noticeable upon close inspection. The programme basically appears as near mint. To get something of this size out of Japan in such fine condition must have taken considerable effort. For this reason, the few examples of the programme that do show up from time to time tend to be in rough shape.
