A scarce press pass from the legendary "Thrilla in Manila". The pass remains ensconced in its original plastic wallet, with a pin affixed to the back. These passes were handed out to members of the promotional team, the fighters entourages & journalists covering the fight. The pass measures approximately 4.25" x 5.75". It remains in excellent, collectable condition.
In a display of brutal punishment and unmatched toughness, these two legends pummelled each other four fourteen rounds before trainer Eddie Futch refused to allow Frazier to answer the bell for the fifteenth and final round, fearing for his boxer's life. Ali later commented that it was the closest he too had ever come to death in the ring, declaring Frazier as the second greatest fighter in boxing history.
