Vintage one-sheet poster advertising fight films of the Ingemar Johansson v Floyd Patterson II contest for the Heavyweight World Championship. Johansson had won the belt from Patterson 12 months earlier, stopping the Champion in the third round. In front of a crowd of 31,892 at the Polo Grounds, New York Patterson successfully avenged the defeat with a fifth round KO. This attractive original one-sheet measures approximately 27" x 41" and has been professionally linen backed. In very good condition with the original fold lines visible. A few small spots of paper loss.
