On September 21, 1955 Rocky Marciano defended his world heavyweight title against the Old Mongoose Archie More. It was to be the final fight of Marciano's career. Rocky was dropped in the second round by a right hand, but came back to knock Moore down four times before flooring him for the full count in the ninth round. Offered here is a scarce original advertising broadside measuring 11" x 14". The piece has dual purpose, advertising both the upcoming fight and Slim Jim bow ties. In good vintage condition. There is scattered creasing throughout and a ting piece missing from the top left corner. Tack holes to the corners and several edge tears - the worst being a 3" tear on the right border which has been taped from behind. An individual's details have been stamped to the top left corner. Note: The broadside will be shipped flat.
