An on-site poster from Henry Cooper's fourth clash with Joe Erskine, for the British and Commonwealth Heavyweight Titles.
"Henry Cooper probably lined himself up for a shot at the world crown by slaughtering Joe Erskine of Wales in five blood-spattered rounds at Wembley Indoor Stadium. Unmarked and unfriendly, Cooper savagely jabbed the Welsh challenger to defeat without ever looking troubled. At the end of the 5th round of the scheduled 15 round bout, Erskine retired in distress with his left eye mashed into raw flesh and his right eye seeping blood down his face." - Associated Press
In poor condition with heavy creasing and multiple edge tears, a few of which have been reinforced with tape from behind. Arresting orange graphics are sure to capture the eye. Also included is an original poster from Coney Beach Arena, Porthcawl on 20th Aug 1963. Howard Winstone met Billy Calvert for the British & European Featherweight belts, and Brian Curvis fought American Isaac Logart at Welterweight. In very poor shape (see photos).
