An original thirty page program from Freedom Hall, Louisville where the 1960 Louisville Golden Gloves competition took place from the 1st, 3rd and 4th of February. Victorious in the Heavyweight Division was a young Cassius Clay. Past champions are listed on the second page, where Clay again features as the 1959 Light-Heavyweight Champion. He would go on to become the National Champion in Chicago in both 1959 (Light-Heavyweight) and 1960 (Heavyweight). Also photographed in the program is Clay's first boxing trainer, Officer Joe Martin from the Columbia Gym.
The program has three holes punched through it. There are creases across the top right and bottom left corners. The spine has split two inches at the bottom. On the center page the winner of each division has been marked in blue pen. This includes Cassius and his brother Rudolph who was also victorious in the Light-Heavyweight category.
An exceptionally rare Cassius Clay amateur program.
