A 1927 first edition of Jack Johnson's autobiography In the Ring & Out, signed and inscribed to the first interior page by Johnson. Signed in fountain pen, the text reads in full: "To my good friend Leo McCartney, with good luck and best wishes from Jack Johnson". The condition of the book itself is excellent with tight binding and clean, undamaged pages throughout. There is some slight discolouration to the covers. The dust jacket is in fair condition due to previous water damage. This is a lovely example of the publication signed by its distinguished author. The ink remains strong, showing as a 7 /8 out of 10.
