Offered here is a scarce on-site poster from Sugar Ray Robinson's victory over Yanek Walczak (Jean Walzack) at the Palais des Expositions, Geneva, Switzerland. The fight took place on December 16th 1950. Robinson was declared the winner by unanimous decision. The poster measures 30" x 40" and has been professionally linen backed. It's in VG condition with old fold lines visible and light patches of soiling/staining throughout. A few tears, the largest running from the top edge into Ray's head. There has been some restoration, this is confined to the corners and perimeter of the poster. A prominent image of Ray commands the middle of the poster. Very few examples of this tough find are known to exist.
