1970 Muhammad Ali v Jerry Quarry on-site poster
This was the hugely significant first fight back for Muhammad Ali after a three and a half year self-imposed exile resulting from his refusal to be drafted into the United States Army. Ali met Heavyweight contender 'Irish' Jerry Quarry at the Municipal Auditorium in Atlanta, Georgia on October 26th 1970. The fight was stopped in the third round due to a bad cut inflicted on Quarry. This is a scarce on-site poster with artwork by LeRoy Neiman. The paper poster measures 14" x 22". In VG-EX condition with two small stains to the left edge. Faint corner crease lower left. Minor edge wear. A very solid example of this important poster.
