Harry Greb signed photograph
A very rare photo signed by former Middleweight World Champion Harry Greb. Greb reigned the Middleweight division from 1923-1926 and is widely regarded as one of, if not the best middleweight of all time. He sadly passed away at the premature age of 32. After checking into an Atlantic City clinic for surgery to repair damage to his nose and respiratory tract, Greb suffered complications. He died of heart failure on October 22, 1926, never waking up from his general anesthetic. His early death has left fight fans with a shortage of authentic signatures. Offered here is an exceptionally rare 5 1/2" x 8" vintage photo signed by Greb in blue ballpoint to the lower right corner. The signature is a little light in places but still fully legible. The Apeda studio photograph has been slightly trimmed around the edges (which has cut off part of the 'b' in Greb) and has some glue remnants on the back from previously being housed in an album. Harry Greb's typed name has been taped to the photo at the bottom. Overall VG-EX condition.
