A vintage on-site poster from the Muhammad Ali v Leon Spinks rematch at the New Orleans Superdome - September 15, 1978. Although considerably past his brilliant best, a motivated Ali still had enough to avenge his earlier defeat, winning the Heavyweight Title for a record breaking third time. The victory undoubtedly ranks as one of the most important in Ali's illustrious career.
The 17" x 23" poster pictures both fighters either side of the Superdome, with several iconic sights from the city of New Orleans below. The condition is G-VG. There are multiple horizontal crease lines from how the poster was previously rolled. Light soiling and edge wear. Some foxing, mainly visible on the back of the poster. Small piece missing from the left hand edge.
