1970 Muhammad Ali v Jerry Quarry full on-site ticket
An exceptionally rare full on-site ticket from Ali's 1970 comeback fight against 'Irish' Jerry Quarry. The two met at the Atlanta Municipal Auditorium on October 26th 1970, three and half years after Ali was forced into exile from the ring. The fight was halted at the end of the third round due to a bad cut over Quarry's left eye. Offered here is an unused gold ringside ticket. Section AA, Row 3, Seat 8. The ticket is fresh to the hobby and was recently acquired from the daughter of the original owner. He had been working for the President of Coca-Cola at the time and was gifted two tickets to the fight. He only used one, and the other sat neatly tucked away in a draw for the last 45 years. The ticket is in excellent-near mint condition, with only the slightest of wear to the corners. Mild age toning to the back. The ticket looks beautiful in person, and is far glossier than the scan which appears a little dull. Full tickets from this fight are incredibly hard to find. We've only seen one other and it was in very poor shape.
