1960 Cassius Clay Olympic Boxing Trials Finals on-site program
Scarce program from the 1960 US Olympic Boxing Trials Finals held at the Cow Palace, San Francisco. Cassius Clay is listed and photographed on the center pages - he was competing in the Light heavyweight category. Clay would win his 178 pound division and famously go on to take the Gold medal in Rome four months later. Also boxing in the trials, and listed in the program, are Jimmy Ellis and Bob Foster. The program is in very good-excellent condition. There is some light scratching to the cover and a couple of minor creases. Clean pages throughout. A very nice example of an equally tough and important program to find.
