A rare original poster advertising fight film of the first Jersey Joe Walcott-Rocky Marciano contest. Down on all three judges scorecards Marciano KO'd Walcott in the 13th round to become heavyweight champion of the world. In the return fight eight months later he would demolish Walcott inside the first round. The poster measures 27 x 41" and is in good condition with the original mailing folds. Soiling to the middle section and bottom border. A few small tears/chips to the edges, and some separation along the fold lines (the largest of which is about 1.5" and has been reinforced with tape from behind). There is a small 0.5" hole in the middle of the poster. Beautiful vintage graphics and vivid color.
