On November 22nd 1960 at Wembley’s Empire Pool, Bobby Neill clashed for a third time with the 1956 Olympic flyweight gold medal winner Terry Spinks, to whom he had previously won and lost. After being ko’d by east Londoner Spinks in round 14, Neill collapsed in his dressing room and was rushed to hospital for an operation to remove a blood clot on the brain. He was in a coma for several days and close to death but thankfully recovered - sadly Neill would never to fight again.
This is a scarce on-site poster from Empire Pool. Printed on thin card measuring 21.5 x 13.5", the poster has been mounted onto a thicker piece of card. In very good condition, with a faint water stain covering most of the bottom section and parts of the border.
