1964 Cassius Clay v Sonny Liston on-site program
An original on-site program from Miami Beach where Cassius Clay delivered one of the biggest upsets in sporting history. Almost all analysts predicted that Liston would comfortably defeat the loud-mouthed Clay. Many worried that he would be seriously injured in the process! However Clay boxed and moved beautifully and a despondent Liston quit on his stool after six rounds. This scarce program is in good condition. There is a water stain that runs through the lower part of all pages. This has caused some wrinkling. Tiny pieces missing from the top corners of the front cover. Splitting to the top and bottom of the spine has been subtly reinforced with very thin strips of transparent tape to the inside of the front & back covers. The program hasn't been scored or folded. Measures 9" x 12".
