On April 16th 2011 undefeated WBO featherweight champion Juan Manuel Lopez met Orlando Salido in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. Mexican Salido came in a heavy underdog but in one of the fights - and upsets - of the year, stopped Lopez in the 8th round to claim the title. Offered here are Juan Manuel Lopez's fight worn gloves from the match. Lopez has signed both gloves in black sharpie and added the inscription "WBO Champ 122 & 126" (Jr Featherweight & Featherweight).
8oz Cleto Reyes professional boxing gloves in an unusual white and gold design. In excellent, fight used condition with laces still intact. There is minor leather loss around the wrist from tape removal. On the inside of the thumbs the faintest remains of an inscription reading "Junama 1" can be seen. The signatures are bold. The gloves originate from an associate of Juanma's who lives and works in Puerto Rico. He has worked with many of the top Puerto Rican fighters including Miguel Cotto, Juanma Lopez and rising star Felix Verdego. Included is a LOA from the associate as well as a photo of him with Juanma. The gloves will also come with a LOA from BoxArt detailing the provenance and guaranteeing authenticity for life.
